ST. LOUIS LIONS ANNOUNCE 2017 PRE SEASON FRIENDLY
Cottleville, Missouri (March 22, 2017) - The St Louis Lions and FC Minneapolis have set a Friendly for Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 5:00pm at the Tony Glavin Soccer Complex in Cottelville, MO.
FC Minneapolis currently operates as a non- league professional soccer team in Blaine, Minnesota. Without a league to govern its rules the club is able to try and build their own pathway to the professional game in the United States.
“We are very excited to begin a relationship with FC Minneapolis that we believe will continue to grow,” said Lions President and Head Coach Tony Glavin. “FC Minneapolis have a unique vision in their approach and we are thrilled to be able to play them in a friendly match. We are also looking forward to partnering with them in a community service project when they come to town.”
Founded in 2005, the St Louis Lions plays in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), in the Heartland Division of the Central Conference.
